Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) is a Malaysian government programme that encourages foreigners to live and retire in Malaysia. Launched in 2002, it aims to make Malaysia an ideal long-stay destination, with a range of benefits and incentives for foreigners who choose Malaysia as their second home.
MM2H Platinum applicants receive a 20-year visa, renewable every 20 years.
MM2H Gold applicants receive a 15-year visa, renewable every 15 years.
MM2H Silver applicants receive a 5-year visa, renewable every 5 years.
Applicants in the Special Economic / Financial Zone tier receive a 10-year visa, renewable every 10 years.
MM2H Platinum allows applicants to do business and work legally in Malaysia.
Pensions remitted to Malaysia are tax-exempt.
MM2H is known for its very high approval rate.
Applicants may bring their spouse, unmarried children under 34, and their own and their spouse’s parents as dependants.
Funds are held as a fixed deposit in the applicant’s own name and continue to earn interest.
MM2H offers visa flexibility in Peninsular Malaysia, with no fixed place of residence or reporting requirement.
Participants may buy property in Malaysia; holding an MM2H visa helps with approvals and mortgage applications.
Platinum applicants may apply for one domestic helper under Immigration guidelines.
